Contents
Buying a concert ticket in Korea with a foreign passport is possible and, since the platforms went multilingual, reasonably easy; what catches people is the paperwork. Your account name must match your passport, the passport itself (not a copy) collects the tickets, shows with identity verification charge foreign-passport bookers a ₩8,000 fee per ticket, and fan-club presales require a membership linked to the ticket account weeks in advance. Prices in 2026: ₩154,000–198,000 for a standard K-pop concert seat, up to ₩264,000 for BTS, and ₩8,000–50,000 for a baseball game. The calculator totals seats plus fees for the platform you will actually use.
Ticket cost calculator (2026)
Seat ranges from 2026 reporting (K-pop, fan meetings, festivals: about; BTS Goyang tiers: official; KBO: fan-site ranges, about — clubs publish their own tables). The ₩8,000 global fee is Interpark/NOL's published rate for foreign-passport-verified bookings on identity-verified shows since 2024-07-01; other platforms' fees are estimates to check at checkout.
The platforms
| Platform | Language | Who it is for | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| NOL World (world.nol.com) | English, Japanese, Chinese | Foreign fans booking Korean shows | Interpark Global until 2025-12-01; email sign-up, passport name; one-time passport verification for identity-verified shows; ₩8,000 fee per ticket on those |
| NOL Ticket (tickets.interpark.com) | Korean | Residents with a Korean phone and residence card | The domestic site; fee about ₩1,000–2,000 per ticket, delivery about ₩3,200 |
| Melon Ticket Global | English and others | Shows sold through Melon | Fees not published in English; check at checkout |
| YES24 Global | English | Shows sold through YES24 | Same |
| Ticketlink | Korean, partial English | Sport (four KBO clubs), some concerts | Global service covers some events |
| KBO club apps | Korean | NC, KT, Lotte, SSG home games | Doosan and Kiwoom sell through NOL Ticket; LG, Hanwha, Samsung and KIA through Ticketlink |
Each show has one designated seller — BTS's 2026 dates were NOL Ticket only — so the first step is the promoter's announcement, not a search. Interpark's global arm became NOL World on 2025-12-01 (NOL World notice); older guides that say "Interpark Global" mean the same site.
Sign-up, verification and the ₩8,000 fee
Register with an email address and enter your name exactly as printed in your passport, surname and given names in the passport's order — the names guide explains why the residence card and the ticket must agree with the passport line. No Korean phone number is needed on the global sites. For shows that require identity verification, 본인인증 (bonin injeung) — most large K-pop concerts — NOL World verifies a foreign passport once (a Korean passport cannot be used there), and Interpark's published fee schedule adds a global booking fee of ₩8,000 per ticket to those bookings, in force since July 1, 2024 (Interpark); the domestic fee on NOL Ticket is about ₩1,000–2,000. That fee is the single biggest difference between booking as a resident with a residence card on the Korean site and booking as a visitor, and the calculator shows it only when both conditions — NOL World and an identity-verified show — apply.
Payment. Foreign-issued Visa and Mastercard work but fail often at the 3-D Secure step, especially on the first attempt; keep a second card ready and note that the payment window is about ten minutes. Collection. Most shows for foreign buyers are venue pickup on the day: bring the original passport used to book — residence cards, photocopies and phone images are refused at many events — and the name is checked against the booking. Domestic delivery, where offered, is about ₩3,200; overseas delivery is generally not offered. Name errors can be corrected through NOL World customer service up to 72 hours before the show.
Presales: Weverse and the fan-club window
For groups on Weverse, the fan-club presale is where most seats go, and general sales can clear in seconds. The presale requires an active membership — BTS's ARMY membership is US$19.67 a year on the global Weverse Shop (US$22 in the United States) — bought before the promoter's cut-off, plus a pre-registration in Weverse and a link between the Weverse account and the ticket account in the same name during the announced window. Miss either step and the presale button will not appear. Limits are usually two to four tickets per person, and every ticket carries the booker's name.
Prices in 2026
| Event | Price (2026) | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| BTS 'ARIRANG', Goyang, April 9–12 | ₩264,000 sound-check · ₩220,000 R · ₩198,000 S | Official NOL Ticket notice |
| Standard K-pop concert seat | ₩154,000–198,000 | 2026 reporting (Enhypen standing ₩220,000; Le Sserafim VIP ₩198,000; Super Junior ₩198,000) |
| Fan meeting | ₩110,000–121,000 | About |
| Festival day ticket | ₩99,000–165,000 | About |
| KBO outfield | ₩8,000–15,000 | Fan-site ranges; clubs' own tables vary — about |
| KBO infield | ₩15,000–30,000 | About; weekends slightly higher |
| KBO table / premium | ₩40,000–50,000+ | About |
BTS's top price went from ₩110,000 in 2017 to ₩264,000 in 2026, and the rest of the market has followed (Daum News). Two worked examples from the calculator: two R seats at a BTS-level show via NOL World, identity-verified, picked up at the venue, come to ₩456,000 (2 × ₩220,000 + 2 × ₩8,000); one upper-range standard concert seat on the domestic NOL Ticket site with delivery comes to ₩203,200 (₩198,000 + ₩2,000 + ₩3,200); four lower-tier infield baseball seats come to ₩64,000 (4 × ₩15,000 + 4 × ₩1,000).
Baseball: the cheap night out
The 2026 KBO season runs 2026-03-28 ~ 2026-10-07, 10 clubs playing 144 games each, and the league averages 18,008 spectators a game after passing 12 million for the first time in 2025 (KBO 2026). Tickets go on general sale about 7 days before the game (Lotte: 14), typically from 11:00, with a limit of four to eight per person, on the home club's platform: Ticketlink for LG, Hanwha, Samsung and KIA; NOL Ticket for Doosan and Kiwoom; club apps for NC, KT and Lotte; SSG's own shopping site. Club apps are in Korean and some need a Korean phone number; Ticketlink's global service covers part of the schedule. Outfield seats are ₩8,000–15,000, infield ₩15,000–30,000, tables and premium ₩40,000–50,000 or more, weekends a little higher, fee about ₩1,000. Stadium food is the fried-chicken-and-beer kind, and outside food from the convenience store is a common sight; check the home club's rules on what can be brought in.
Resale and the 2024 scalping law
The Performing Arts Act amendment in force since March 22, 2024 makes it a crime to resell tickets obtained with macro software — up to one year in prison or a ₩10 million fine — and the National Sports Promotion Act was amended the same way for sport (Korea.kr). Plain resale at a markup by an individual who did not use a bot falls outside that provision; at the venue it is a minor offence, online it is a grey area, and reports go to the Ministry of Culture's portal. The enforcement that actually affects you is at the gate: the ticket's name must match the ID, so a ticket bought from a stranger is a ticket you may not get in with. Fan-club transfer systems that change the name, where offered, are the only safe secondary route.
Free and cheap
The National Museum of Korea's permanent galleries are free, most city-run outdoor festivals are free, and since April 2026 Culture Day is every Wednesday, with discounted museum, gallery and performance tickets; the holidays guide has the details, and the Seoul transit guide covers getting to Goyang and the stadiums.
Calculation logic
- Seat price = your own figure if entered; otherwise the lower, middle or upper value of the event's 2026 range (middle = midpoint rounded to ₩1,000; BTS tiers use the three official prices).
- Booking fee per ticket: ₩8,000 when the platform is NOL World and the show is identity-verified (the foreign-passport case); about ₩2,000 on domestic or other global platforms (upper end of the published domestic range, or an estimate where unpublished); about ₩1,000 for KBO.
- Delivery: ₩3,200 if chosen and the event is not baseball (KBO tickets are mobile); pickup is free.
- Total = seats + fees + delivery; per-ticket figure is the total divided by the number of tickets.
Mistakes people make
- Booking under a nickname or a reversed name. Passport order, passport spelling, every time.
- Buying a Weverse membership after the presale window closed, or forgetting to link the accounts.
- Arriving with a residence card or a phone photo of the passport. Original passport only for pickup.
- One card, one attempt. 3-D Secure failures are routine; have a backup card and retry within the payment window.
- Buying resold tickets in another name. The gate check is by name; the law is the lesser risk.
- Searching for "Interpark Global". It is NOL World now.
That closes the course: which age counts, why there is no tip line, whose glass to fill, what to call the owner, ninety phrases, the 2027 calendar, rooms by the hour, and the ticket in your passport's name. For the money side of living here, the Money category starts with the take-home pay calculator.
Frequently asked questions
Where do foreigners buy concert tickets in Korea?
On the platform the promoter designates, which for most K-pop shows is NOL Ticket (domestic) or its English-language sister NOL World — Interpark Global until its rebranding on December 1, 2025. Melon Ticket Global, YES24 Global and Ticketlink cover other shows and most sport. Sign up with an email address and your name exactly as printed in your passport; no Korean phone number or residence card is needed on the global sites. For shows with identity verification, you verify once with a foreign passport, and a global booking fee of ₩8,000 per ticket applies on top of the seat price.
Why was my card declined, and how do I get the tickets?
Foreign Visa and Mastercard payments often fail at the 3-D Secure step; have a second card ready and complete payment within the roughly ten-minute window. Most shows for foreign buyers are venue pickup: bring the original passport used for booking — a residence card, a photocopy or a phone image is refused at many events — and the tickets are handed over with the name checked. Overseas delivery is generally not offered; domestic delivery, where available, costs about ₩3,200.
How much are concert and baseball tickets in 2026?
Standard K-pop concert seats run ₩154,000–198,000; BTS's April 2026 Goyang shows were ₩198,000 (S), ₩220,000 (R) and ₩264,000 (sound-check), the highest yet. Fan meetings are ₩110,000–121,000 and festivals ₩99,000–165,000. KBO baseball is cheap by comparison: about ₩8,000–15,000 in the outfield, ₩15,000–30,000 in the infield and ₩40,000–50,000 or more for tables and premium seats, with a booking fee of about ₩1,000 per ticket.
Is buying a resold ticket illegal?
Selling tickets bought with macro (bot) software has been a crime since March 22, 2024 — up to one year in prison or a ₩10 million fine under the Performing Arts Act, with the same rule for sports. Ordinary resale at a markup by an individual is a grey area, and at the venue it is a minor offence. The practical risk is different: the name on the ticket must match the ID at the gate, so a resold ticket in someone else's name may be refused. Buy from the official platform or a fan-club transfer that changes the name.
